While Halcyon was 'saturated' with Goulding's feelings about her past relationships and breakups, she doesn't plan for her third album to go the same way. "I think the message is going to be way more positive on my next record. My priorities in terms of what I write about and what I want to draw attention to have changed. Im not really interested in writing about boys anymore" She also admitted that being alone makes song writing different to being in love, saying that 'when you dont have anyone, it makes you think about very different things. You have more time for yourself, and you end up being a bit more open with your emotions'.
