5. The Band Is Not Doing Much Press (If Any) To Promote It

Axl Rose was scheduled to appear on Jimmy Kimmel, likely to discuss the GN'R shows at Coachella and the return of guitarist Slash, early in January. However, at the last minute, Rose cancelled the appearance, leaving the show in something of a bind. Kimmel's people have said they're not sure what the cancellation was about, but since then, there has been absolutely no promotion of the reformed line-up. Now, while Rose has been considered flaky when it comes to media appearances (he has often been at odds with the press over the years), he has actually appeared on Kimmel before, and that went off without a hitch. In fact, it proved to be quite popular - so what happened to cancel this appearance, and why the almost complete radio silence from the band since? You'd think they'd be out promoting these shows like mad to get fans excited, if this is in fact more than a handful of shows. This may simply be a "let the music do the talking" situation, or they figure it's easier to avoid conflict by leaving the media out of it.
