While they're a long way removed from their "Cherry Pie" days, Warrant actually are still around - sort of. They last toured, without late lead singer Jani Lane, in support of the 21st anniversary of Cherry Pie. Robert Mason has been on vocals for the band since 2008. Lane died in 2011 of acute alcohol poisoning. Prior to his passing, however, the band had become a revolving door act with twenty three members, additional session and touring musicians taking the number upwards of fifty, not to mention "Jani Lane's Warrant" in 2006, which saw Lane tour with his own version of Warrant - leading to legal action from the rest of the original band to stop him from doing so.
