As much as Mogwai can polarise opinion (pick a side: Gremlin-like fanaticism or Gizmo-like indifference), there shouldn't be anything provocative about this pretty seasonal piece from the masters of instrumental tomfoolery. Its inoffensive and charming; tickled with a subtle piano and string arrangement and just enough sprinkles of electronic trickery to bring out its flavour. Its an altogether enchanting little composition. In fact, its downright beautiful.
So much so, in fact, that youd quite willingly allow it to carry on for two or three minutes longer.
