The influence of Britneys fifth album Blackout is all over radio today, especially in the dance floor anthems that have dominated mainstream airplay in recent years. (Whether or not those artists have been for the greater good may be debatable, but Britneys influence stands regardless.) Among the many gems on that album is Toy Soldier, a drum-heavy club jam buried in the middle of the album that features Britney at her most adventurous. It also cemented Britneys long legacy of inexplicably great accents as she drawls about boys from New Yawk with the dedication of a pro.
