9. You've Lost Friends Over The Finger/Pick Debate
Technically there's nothing stopping anybody from using both, but the pick/finger issue becomes so polarising in the bass community that you're forced to plant your flag in the soil for one side or the other. The finesse of the finger, or the power of the plec? There's no right answer after all.
