It's a crazy world that we live in. It really truly is. With tragedies, wars, and major crimes occurring every day, it's always a little depressing to turn on the news. Let's just get one thing straight though: it's not Marilyn Manson's fault. It's crazy people still try and connect Manson and Columbine to this day. The tragedy that occurred in 1999 at Columbine High School in Colorado, when two teens shot and murdered many students and a teacher, changed the way that America looked at pop culture forever. As would become common during school shootings, the media pointed the finger at Manson, as it was erroneously stated that the two boys had enjoyed his music. Some news headlines even stated that the lyrical messages therein had incited the massacre. Columbine will always be monumentally heartbreaking, but let's maybe free Manson of the cage that he's been put in for nearly 20 years.
