20 Universally-Hated Songs That Are Actually Technically Very Good

12. Biffy Clyro - Bubbles

Biffy Clyro are one of those bands who always deserved to get huge, but when they did somehow managed to entirely alienate their core fanbase. When The Biff were picked up by Roadrunner Records for their fourth album, things were going rather well, but after when it came to their fifth album, Only Revolutions, the 'Roadrunner effect' had set in and their classic fanbase hated their new radio-friendly sound. Bubbles is a song that makes absolutely no sense, however underneath Simon Neil's weird lyrics sits a surprisingly heavy and complex piece of music. His fondness for using unconventional tunings combined with his unique style of playing over the top of the band's thundering rhythm section make this an incredibly unique track.
