You wouldn't think, looking at the surface, that Marilyn Manson and Eminem have much in common, yet both have come under attack from censorship groups for their music, and both have been outspoken in defending their art. So when Eminem included a line in The Way I Am that referenced the Columbine shooting and stated "When a dude's getting bullied and shoots up his school And they blame it on Marilyn" then questions where the parents were at, well, it makes a certain amount of sense. Eminem took it a little step further, however, having Manson appear in the video for the song when the lyric is sung. It's probably one of the only times a shock-rock legend has turned up in a rap video, which makes it pretty unique.
