Any fan of classic rock knows who Pink Floyd is. The mammoth rock band shattered all expectations and standards set for rock bands, with insanely elaborate live shows, and with their bizarre music style they took what the Beatles had started and advanced it to the next level. They also achieved an unprecedented level of commercial success for a progressive rock band. Undoubtedly though, their peak of success - both commercially and artistically - was from 1972 to 1979, when they released a string of five highly successful albums. Meddle, The Dark Side of the Moon; Wish You Were Here; Animals; and lastly The Wall, which to date has gone 23x Platinum. I personally have shared my love for Pink Floyd on occasion before, and yet I feel as though there's more to say. See, out of those five albums mentioned above, many rave about all of them but Animals. So I decided I must share my thoughts on this... on why Animals is actually their best album...
