http://youtu.be/Wj9y8Tt8TJ4 If there was any band that strove to relive the glory days of Velvet Underground/Krautrock-type jams then you cant beat a bit of Oneida. In 2009, they had the balls to record and release a 113-minute triple album, itself only the second instalment in a trilogy of albums. Secret Wars is here instead of that record as its one of the more digestible of their albums, especially if youre just getting into them. Their frantic hair-raising approach to improvisation sounds less like a musical band and more like a clutter of sirens and alarm bells ringing in full force across the land. But theres no denying the immediacy and tightness of the band, which makes Secret Wars rock all the more hard.
