From the bands pre-record deal days, Knock A Door Run appeared on the unofficial, fan-compiled Beneath the Boardwalk. Whilst taking the form of describing the mischievous childhood game, and providing an adequate social commentary of childhood in Yorkshire, the track seems to have a subliminal message about a girl leading a man on.
