7 Problems Only Drummers Would Understand
7. Lugging All That Gear
When a guitarist complains about carting their amp and instrument to the gig, it should be 100% legal for a drummer to punch them right in the face. Sure, you have a guitar and amplifier, but you don't have to keep an eye on countless drums, cymbals and tiny screws that could easily go missing.
Every drummer inevitably comes up against those whinging bandmates who don't see the irony of their complaints; those singers are the worst too, flicking their mop-like hair to the side and waxing lyrical about the woes of carrying one small bag containing a microphone.
By comparison to everybody else in the band, the poor drummer would have to hit the weights should they have any hopes of using all that beloved gear they shelled out thousands to own.
The worst is when other bandmates glare upon being asked to help unload drums into the gig, as though it's heresy that they be asked to carry the lowly drummer's kit in for them.
Oh woe is you, singer, but your tiny mic doesn't equate to heavy-set shells or concrete-like bass drums.
