8. Beyonce Faked Her Pregnancy

In 2011, Beyonce €“ the Texas-born singer-songwriter who is so astronomically famous she needs absolutely no introduction €“ was the subject of a massive pregnancy-related scandal, with many fans convinced that the whole thing was one big fat lie.

What drove people to this conclusion? Quite a few things. Firstly, Beyonce had previously spoken about a tragic miscarriage she suffered (this is also detailed in her brief song Heartbeat) leading people to believe she may be incapable of bearing children. Secondly, during an interview the singer's baby bump appeared to fold in on itself upon sitting down opposite the interviewer, something an actual bump wouldn't do (dozens and dozens of mothers and pregnant women were quick to explain how something like that could never happen to someone genuinely pregnant).And thirdly, Beyonce was never really able to tell a consistent story, at several points giving different due dates (in an appearance on the Australian show Sunday Night, she stated February. Later, she said she was six months pregnant, which fell in line with her daughter's birthday on January 7th). That's not to mention the fact the hospital she supposedly gave birth in was on complete lock down €“ even the hospital's own staff weren't allowed to step foot on the floor where she was supposed to be staying.
