6. Heavenly €“ When The Rain Begins To Fall

Original Artist €“ Jermaine Jackson (1984)Released €“ 2006 (Virus) A definite shocker in regards to the discovery of this particular tribute, although it did in fact achieve significant success in several markets, this track from Jermaine Jackson and famed actress Pia Zadora has not exactly stood the test of time. Originally a single from the film Voyage of the Rock Aliens (you read that right), it has since faded into obscurity. But that didn€™t stop famed French power metal band Heavenly from adapting this long lost pop classic with their own style of head thrashing mayhem. Formed in 1994 they have become one of France€™s biggest names in metal over their 20 years of existence with five critically acclaimed albums and another on the way. The track also features Tanja Lainio of Finnish group Lullacry and with her and vocalist Benjamin Sotto leading the horsemen-like charge of guitar-induced delirium, this unusual choice of a pop song to cover not only complements the album of which it was included but has gone on to breathe new life into this single from one of the lesser known Jacksons.
