10. Go All The Way

While most readers will likely remember this song for its inclusion within Star Lord's 'Awesome Mix' in 2014's Guardians Of The Galaxy, that did not mark the only time the song - originally by Raspberries - has appeared on a recent movie soundtrack. 

Indeed the song was covered by The Killers for the 2012 soundtrack for Tim Burton's Dark Shadows. While not entirely unlike the original, the band played to their heartland rock best and gave just enough of a Sam's Town edge to bring the song back to life for a modern audience. Special mention should go to Dave Keuning and Mark Stoermer for their immaculate replication of the falsetto backing vocals, drawing reminders of similar work they have done for The Killers' own Bones. 

Interestingly this was not the first time the Las Vegas band had worked with Tim Burton, with the cult director having directed the videos for two tracks; the aforementioned Bones and 2012's Here With Me.
