Carly Rae Jepsen - Kiss: Track By Track Review

8. Hurt So Good

If a listener hadn€™t already felt like this album was just a bit repetitive, this is about the moment when it would hit them. But, like I said earlier, if you were (as you should have been) expecting that repetitiveness, "Hurt So Good" stands out as that very necessary €œtalk about the friend you like€ song. Turns out to be a great running song also.

9. Beautiful

Bieber-Jepsen fans finally get that collab track they€™ve been waiting on, but it feels like this cut will never really do the kind of damage this team effort would be expected to do. This could be contributed to an instrumental that can only be described as a little too laid back, a lack of a real €œwow€ moment of harmony, or a couple of other less-likely possibilities, but in the end; this duet leaves too much to the imagination.
