doom/horror/psychedelic It didnt take a lot. One song to be exact. It took one song for Black Moth to go from band Ive never heard of, to band Im making sure I go see without fail. The song was Blackbirds Fall and my listening stemmed from my prowling every nook and cranny of the Download line-up to write this feature. Which was a nice pay off. Anyhow, the band formed in 2010, after a history as a Leeds based garage rock band prior to that. This new incarnation though is an altogether different beast; big doom metal riffs, stoner groove, horror movie imagery, occult lyrical content and psychedelic melody. Taking influence from those that came before them from Black Sabbath through Pentagram to Electric Wizard and Sleep but driven by their garage rock beginnings and highlighted by vocalist Harriet Bevans hypnotic vocals. http://youtu.be/PrxFUWM6BrY
