Eminem: EVERY Album Ranked Worst To Best
11. Infinite
Eminem's debut album serves as living proof that the rapper never had trouble with his lyricism or wordplay. From a lyrical standpoint, Infinite as good as anything he has released since his proper break-out a few years later, as Eminem batters the catchy beats and simple but effective production with brilliant lines and endless energy.
The issue with Infinite, though, is simple - there's little of the Eminem we all know and love in it. With the album, Eminem is just rapping, and whilst it's great to hear (and has aged surprisingly well), he had yet to create his Slim Shady persona and lean into his more controversial and daring themes. It's also short, with little time to get into what he's putting across.
It's clear listening to it that Eminem was at the time a force to be reckoned with, with seamless versatility and enthusiasm, but there's just not enough of the rapper's usual flare to make it rank near his other records.
Best songs: Backstabber, Infinite, 313.
