Kiss: 10 Awesome ‘70’s Songs You’ve Never Heard

By Reverend Rock /

1. "Save Your Love" From Dynasty, 1979

This heavy gem from the Dynasty chest comes courtesy of Ace Frehley and could be the lead guitarist€™s best song on any Kiss album. Had it not been buried as the last track on the second side of a decidedly confused record this tune could have gone far. Featuring Frehley€™s most memorable chorus since his solo hit €œNew York Groove€, the song courageously outshines much else on Dynasty in spite of its largely forgettable placement on the album. Frehley would record one more album with Kiss, 1980€™s critically panned, €œUnmasked€ then leave the band to pursue an up and down solo career until the reunion shenanigans of the mid to late €˜90€™s. Love €˜em or hate €˜em there is no denying the impact that Kiss has had on heavy music over the last 40 years. There could certainly be disagreements among fans with respect to the subject matter. What allows us to rise above petty arguments about the merits of individual selections is this - even if we disagree strongly, we do so while celebrating a shared love. It is my sincerest hope that you have discovered something that has brightened your day amongst these humbly submitted ramblings. Did we miss any classic, lesser-heard Kiss tracks?
