This is simply magical, in the literal sense of the word. One of her most sparse arrangements, 'Bel Air' sounds like a lullaby from a Disney film. This is the other side of Lana, more concerned with spiritual, rather than physical love. It's devotion pure and simple - "Don't be afraid of me, don't be ashamed, walk in the way of my soft resurrection, lead me to war with your brilliant direction' I've not heard a better lyric about falling in love and the hope that said love is reciprocated. This is a song all about anticipation, yearning and admiration. The video featured just Lana and dry ice, with no singing - nothing more needed to be said. One question - why on earth wasn't this a single? If you want to tell someone how much you like them then this is a good start. And then you can talk about how good the song is, and keep talking about how good the song is some more.
