Lawson Announce US and Canada Dates

By Susana Novaz /

Good news if you're a fan of Lawson and you've been hoping to see them live. The "When She Was Mine" band is not only going on a tour that will bring them to the main UK cities, they're also taking their music overseas. Andy, Ryan, Joel and Adam will be playing a few concerts in the US this month as a way to introduce themselves to the North American audience. By doing so, the British pop-rock band follows the steps of One Direction, Cher Lloyd, Jessie J and The Wanted in their quest for US success. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=38ro85EpM-M 2012 saw the beginning of Lawson's career, which was followed by three top 10 singles and an album, "Chapman Square", that managed a respectable top 3 in the UK Charts. It was also a very good year for British artists overseas, a fact that has undoubtedly helped other bands like Lawson or The Saturdays to try their luck in North America. Even though as a band they are certainly more modest when compared to the giant that is One Direction, their guitar-based sound and talent as songwriters and musicians is what could make them stand out, albeit in a more intimate setting. Tickets for Lawson's new US dates are already on sale and you can check out the full details of the band's North American gigs below: Los Angeles (The Troubadour) - 24th JanuaryNew York City (Bowery Ballroom) - 28th JanuaryToronto, Canada (The Mod Club) - 2nd February In addition to their tour, Lawson will release "Learn To Love Again", the fourth and probably final single from their debut album the 3rd of February.
