Nelly Furtado has confirmed that her new English language album The Spirit Indestructible will hit stores June 18th in the UK and June 19th in the US. The 33-year-old singer will first release her lead single 'Big Hoops (Bigger The Better)' on June 4th, two weeks before the album hits. Furtado co-wrote every track on her new album with Rodney Jerkins (Michael Jackson, Lady GaGa), Bob Rock (Metallica), Dutch DJ Tiesto and John Shanks (Take That, Michelle Branch). She spoke about the release; "I began writing these songs around the time I released my Spanish album Mi Plan. I was in a great headspace, feeling refreshed and ready to really deliver in English again. "This album is all about positivity, youth, good energy, and the relentlessness of the spirit. I want people to live this music the way we did when we wrote it. €I want them to jump, dance, scream, laugh, cry, love and vibe to it, and to turn it up very loud everywhere." Furtado will also release a deluxe edition of the album with several songs contributed by producer Fraser T. Smith (Adele). Furtado's last English language album was released six years ago with 2006's 'Loose' which topped US billboard charts and went multi-platinum in 32 countries, selling 10 million copies worldwide.
