Paramore: Every Album Ranked Worst To Best
5. All We Know Is Falling
Paramore’s debut album was released in 2005 with the majority of the line-up still in their early to mid-teens. Lead singer Hayley Williams and Zac Farro were the youngest members of the band and were just sixteen and fourteen respectively during the making of the album.
The album was recorded during a tumultuous time for Paramore, something which would go on to become a common theme for the band, after the departure of bassist Jeremy Davis during the album’s recording process. Davis did eventually rejoin the band before leaving once again in 2015.
With this in mind, as well as the youthful inexperience of the band, it’s quite incredible how strong of an album Paramore were able to produce during this period of their careers. However, the album does pale in comparison to their future releases.
The honest lyrics and impressive songwriting did show some glimpses of what Paramore would go on to become, but when matched up against their subsequent albums, they come across as a band who hadn’t quite yet found their sound. Therefore ‘All We Know Is Falling’ does stand out as Paramore’s most generic sounding album to date.
