Of the great many booby traps laid by the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War, these are probably the best for your particular situation. Snake traps probably wouldn't do the trick, as we have no reason to believe that venom would have any effect on a zombie. Regular tiger traps and bamboo whips would impale zombies, but they could just pull themselves off of the spikes. Grenade traps would be effective at killing a zombie, but they'd attract a dozen more, and then what? You only had one grenade. Now look at you. You're food. Because you were silly.

But a rolling trap? A zombie could potentially be impaled multiple times - possibly even through the head - as they fall through the trap. Once they're in, they're in. They're trapped beneath spikes that keep them at bay. You could just come finish them off as they sit at the bottom of the pit.
