10 "Bucket List" Tourist Attractions That Are Totally Overrated

7. Hollywood Walk Of Fame - Hollywood, United States

Even the most jaded among us have this image in our head of what Hollywood is supposed to look like. It's glamorous, sunny, and for some reason we picture it in black and white with lots of soft lighting. But maybe what you're thinking of is Southern California in general. Malibu, Bel Air, places like that have the sun and fun and rich people that we're all expecting. But Hollywood proper? Not going to lie, it's kind of grungy. People build up the experience of going to see the Walk of Fame, where famous celebrities all have their name printed on a star on the sidewalk, but they forget exactly what it is. It's a heavily populated boulevard with the names of famous actors written on it. That's pretty much it. You may consider it a religious experience if you are a massive fan of one of the actors, but your illusions will be shattered when their name is caked in old chewing gum and people keep asking you for money.
