After saying that she loves him and giving him a quick peck, she struggles through her next sentence, "I have to say...this is...and please forgive me because I'm a little bit...". At this point, an audience member appears to shout "Drunk!", to which Carey retorts, "Yes!", and tries to talk about the movie, but essentially seems unable to finish even a basic sentence, constantly going off on tangents, such as praising Helen Mirren. Carey scarcely manages to get some basic film terms out of her mouth, and spends far too long on the podium saying far too little. The crowd are pretty kind, though, giving her a round applause, probably with the hope that she'll actually just get off of the damn stage.
