9. Drone Proves That We Should Never Go In The Water
It's sad fact of life that the most beautiful places on earth are also the ones where you're most likely to get poisoned, swallowed up by an earthquake, or eaten by a shark. This footage illustrates my point perfectly, as a drone serenely hovers over an Australian beach, then comes to focus on a couple of sharks circling just a few metres away from an oblivious surfer. Thankfully the surfer wasn't attacked, but this footage proves that our worst fears are true, and that sharks are just casually circling around us in the sea all the time. The lifeguard on the day confirmed this by saying sharks "are always out there, we just can't see them", which is presumably supposed to be reassuring, but has convinced me never to go into the sea again.
