10 Exciting New Things Coming To Walt Disney World In 2020 (And Beyond)
Get cooking with Remy and head off with the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Welcome to 2020, a year where we can expect to see some massive changes coming to Walt Disney World.
You might think that with Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge being fully open at Hollywood Studios that there's not much left to look forward to at Walt Disney World. Well you would be very much mistaken!
There is currently a lot of construction going on at Walt Disney World. The much loved but sadly often overlooked Epcot is currently facing a massive overhaul. Expect to see three new areas taking over what is currently Future World. There will be a "spaceship" load of new attractions that will include everything you could want (even the kitchen sink).
Get ready to eat in "out-of-this-world" restaurants and go for a ride with Mickey and Minnie Mouse. There's even a cruise through the Galaxy waiting for you to try.
Here are 10 things that we can't wait to experience at Walt Disney World in 2020/21.
10. Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway
Join Mickey and Minnie on a leisurely drive as their picnic plans begin to unravel. This new attraction has a home at Hollywood Studios in the former Great Movie Ride building.
The new ride will be the first to star Mickey Mouse, surprising given that he's really the big cheese at Disney. Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway is being described as a unique ride with technology similar to 3D. The depictions of Mickey and Minnie are also based on the new Disney award-winning shorts, making it a ride that even the younger generations will appreciate. This ride will almost certainly be fun for the whole family.
Announced opening date: March 4, 2020
