10. Jon Ronson Getting Stalked By The Bilderberg Group

Appearing on JRE twice, Welsh writer Jon Ronson has discussed many stories revolving around his investigations.

From the antics of being associated with a pre-InfoWars Alex Jones, and the tragic tales of mental health issues amongst porn stars, Ronson reveals a daunting anecdote revolving around a meeting held by the elusive Bilderberg group, a secret organisation whom conspiracy theorists believe run the world.

Researching the group for Them: Adventures with Extremists and a 2001 Channel 4 documentary series, The Secret Rulers of the World, Ronson visited Portugal to cover the Bilderberg meeting. Posing as salesmen, Ronson and his contact, ‘Big’ Jim Tucker scouted the Caesar Park Hotel area the day before the assembly.

After leaving the area, Ronson realised he was being followed by a mysterious car. After engaging in a low-speed chase, Ronson pulled over to enquire the reason for the tail. The nondescript driver didn’t engage with the writer, leading to Ronson to conclude that they were ordered to follow and not engage.

Anxious over this event, Ronson phoned the British Embassy for assistance. The Embassy reassured him that if he was aware of being followed, the Bilderberg Group were just trying to intimidate him. If he was being followed and was unaware, that would be more of a cause for concern.
