Also known as "Light-Bulb Lyndon" due to his insistence that all White House lights be turned off to save electricity, Lyndon B Johnson was regularly referred to as "Bulls*** Johnson". The 36th President of the United States, LBJ took office following John F Kennedy's assassination in November 1963 and served until 1969. LBJ was known as "Bulls*** Johnson" (or "Bull Johnson" in public) due to the fact he had a reputation for making outrageous boasts during his time at Southwest Texas State Teachers College. When he was a Congressman and then a Senator the nickname stuck due to the fact he sometimes made far-fetched and exaggerated claims, meaning some still referred to LBJ by it even when he was in the Oval Office.
