Deep in the Appalachians lurks a monster that terrorizes residents and animals alike. Its an unknown creature that could be connected to the dog-like creatures hunting in Michigan and Wisconsins forest. In Montana, an animal rips apart livestock, eating nothing, but seeming to enjoy the hunt. Meanwhile, the residents of North Carolina are on the watch for a wildcat with long claws responsible for slaughtering house pets and goats. No place seems safe from these unknown animals or cryptids. Even the waterways are fair game. Throughout the United States are rural, underpopulated landscapes with resources to support large predators. Some of these areas have never been explored, except for locals with only hunting knives and beef jerky or the occasional pack of wild teenagers. Yet, people see things, hear things and get the feeling that something unknown is watching. These reports suggest the existence of the following creatures, but science has yet to discover or document them. Though official proof may not exist for these cryptids, so was the case with the okapi and the mountain gorilla, and yet, they have been proven to be very real. So, maybe, just maybe, what lurks beyond those trees really could get you.
