A somewhat more tenuous connection, but an undeniable one. Whilst he mostly gave up on a musical career of his own decades ago take note, Shatner Nimoy still took the time to star in an alternate video for pop star Bruno Mars' early hit "The Lazy Song". This was a simpler time, before "Uptown Funk" changed the face of music as people knew it. This was his second major acting role in a music video, having previously played a chauffeur in the video for The Bangles' version of Going Down to Liverpool back in the eighties, and this appearance was significantly more substantial. But it's actually indicative of a rather more large connection Nimoy has to Mars. You see, the reason he even appeared in the video in the first place is because he's step-father to Aaron Bay-Schuck, thanks to his second marriage to Susan Bay (who is Michael Bay's cousin, funnily enough). Who is Aaron Bay-Schuck? Why, he's the record exec who signed Bruno Mars in the first place and made him a star. Would he have managed that without a famous step-dad helping out? Maybe not!
