Kate Mara was always the actress you'd recognise on screen but couldn't quite work out where you'd seen her before, but not any more. The 32-year-old made numerous appearances with side roles in TV and film productions, but her breakthrough role came two years ago in Netflix's outstanding political drama, House Of Cards. Mara's exposure led further up the chain to the point where she has now been cast as Sue Storm in Marvel's rebooted Fantastic Four franchise as the superhero movie juggernaut continues to mercilessly romp through cinemas. She will be taking up the role from Jessica Alba who starred in the 2005 film and its equally underwhelming 2007 sequel. The reboot will also see Michael B. Jordan taking over from Chris Evans, meaning that the inevitable crossover into the Avengers' world will be seamless, as Evans - who now plays Captain America - caught his big break as Johnny Storm in the films. Mara has a busy schedule ahead of her, with post-apocalyptic thriller Man Down starring Gary Oldman, Jai Courtney and Shia LaBeouf, and Ridley Scott's new sci-fi adventure The Martian both set for release this year. She's also featuring in the films Captive and Morgan due for launch in 2015. Fans will be seeing a lot more of Kate Mara very soon, so here are 10 things you may not know about the actress.
