3. Rodriguez Was Raised As A Jehovah's Witness... And Her Mother Thought Acting Was "Part Of The Devil's Tool"
Due to her devoutly-religious maternal grandmother's faith, Rodriguez was originally raised as a Jehovah's witness - along with her ten siblings and half-siblings. Describing the religion as "very morally intense", Rodriguez explained why she herself stopped practising, saying: "Although they (Jehovah's Witnesses) keep you from experiencing a lot of the bad things that can really hurt you out there in the world, they are also depriving you from experiencing life. And a lot of things you learn from after being in life." Interestingly, Rodriguez's Jehovah's Witness mother also believed that the acting world was "using" her daughter. In fact, Rodriguez's mother told her she was "part of the devil's tool", and was not happy with her daughter's chosen career path.
