Circling the planet, spiralling once a minute, is a 60-foot-long, thin manmade object which no-one is quite sure exactly what it is. First spotted in September 2009 by an amateur astronomer while it was making its way through the constellation Pisces, it became known as "J002E3". Originally believed to be a small asteroid, it was later proven to have been made by human hands - and it is thought it could be the long-lost third stage of the Apollo 12 rocket that went to the moon in 1969.
