In 2008, Nicolas Cage won a libel case against husky-voiced actress, Kathleen Turner. The case concerned a passage in Turners autobiography, Send Yourself Roses, which described working with Cage on the film, Peggy Sue Got Married. Turner said that Cage was arrested twice for drunk-driving and, I think, for stealing a dog. Hed come across a Chihuaha he liked and stuck it in his jacket. Hey, weve all been there, right? A night out just isn't complete unless you've kidnapped at least a Shih Tzu. It was only natural that Cage was keen to dispel the rumours, given his wholesome reputation. After he won the case, Turner apologised, paid Cages legal costs and made a donation to a charity of his choosing.
