Found: Buried on property Value: $10,000,000 A North Californian couple made the discovery of their lives during a morning stroll, when they came across a half-buried collection of old cans under an old tree on their property. After cracking open one of the cans, they discovered that it was filled to the brim with gold coins. In total, they found 1,427 coins, all dated from between 1847 and 1894. After having them cleaned up by a professional, almost every coin was also found to be in perfect mint-condition. The total collection was valued at $10,000,000, but the couple were made to give almost half of that amount to the IRS as tax. Still, not a bad outcome for a morning walk!
