The worst thing about being on a plane, for both the passengers and the crew, is that you're stuck in a small, contained space with everything beyond your control. If you fall out with someone, it's not as though you can get away from them, but you'll have to look at them for the remainder of your journey. And if you're a flight attendant, there's nothing worse than having to constantly walk past a passenger who is exceptionally rude or, at times, aggressive. Like any job working with the public, being a flight attendant has its pros and cons. Not only do you get to travel the world and meet people from all different walks of life, but it also means that you're working on an aircraft - you know, those things that fly in the air, thousands of feet from the ground. All of your faith is put into the pilot and your colleagues to see you through every flight. You'll try your best to always look the part, act professional and work with a smile on your face, but there will be times when you just want to roll your eyes, make some witty comeback and then walk away from that person with the swag that Iron Man uses to walk away from an explosion. Of course, you never, ever mention or even tolerate anyone who uses that E word on any flight. So, if you're a flight attendant, you've probably heard these a million times before and if you're a passenger, you should definitely think before you speak next time.
12. Are We There Yet?
It's been an hour and a half into a six hour flight and there are certain passengers who have no concept of time or distance. You knew that you were travelling to the other side of Europe when you booked your ticket, why do you think that we can travel faster than the speed of light? There's always someone who makes a joke about inventing teleportation, and as always, you have to laugh and smile when they tell you that when that day comes, you'll be out of a job.
