Teens and young women everywhere take inspiration from 2004's ultimate chick-flick Mean Girls when they pull out a pair of animal ears and put on the smallest, tightest thing in their wardrobe. It's a habit many girls tend to adopt from about the age of 16 till their early adulthood.

Whether it's their way of displaying a pine for attention, or just because actual costumes can be a lot of effort and money, it is a trend that has redefined Halloween for the older generation.
