"There's UFO's over New York and I ain't too surprised"

When John Lennon used those words in his song "Nobody Told Me," he was drawing from personal experience. Lennon spotted an unidentified flying saucer while in his 52nd Street apartment building in New York in 1974. He was also reportedly nude during the event, but that's probably irrelevant.

His personal secretary/lover, May Pang, was also with him at this time. She has said that John yelled "come back, take me!" out the window at the aliens. Here is a bit of Pang's description of what she saw...

"When it came a little closer, we could make out a row or circle of white lights that ran around the entire rim of the craft — these were also flashing on and off. There were so many of these lights that it was dazzling to the mind."

To support their claims, at least seven other witnesses to this object called local newspapers to report their sightings.
