The butterfly clip itself is a pretty neat thing, all small, shiny and clasp-like. It's what girls did with these accessories that really started to bug everyone. Like some kind of infestation on the noggin, young lasses couldn't get enough of these things and spent long mornings finding quirky ways of hooking them up into some sort of beguiling arrangement. The varieties were wide-ranging, from corn row lines of the clips through loose hair, pimped up ponytails and, perhaps worst of all, the tragic bun and clip combo. Yeah, the butterfly clip is coming back into fashion too.
