A technical term similar to autumnal, or vernal, estival means that which has to do with summer, like the estival solstice, for example. Although nothing extraordinary, and quite rarely used, it seems almost like a wasted opportunity for poets and laymen alike: what better word could there be than an adjectival form of summer, denoting the best things about everyones favourite season? In actuality, though, the real missed opportunities are numerous and widespread, and they all have to do with every single summer music event that could have been called an Estival Festival.
