14. Good Things Come To Those Who Wait

Surely this old saying only really applies to a select few occasions, e.g. christmas, birthdays and waiting for public transport. Good things don't magically come along to those who wait, people just say that to try and numb the excruciating pain that comes with having to wait for things. They say patience is a virtue, but I say that delays are a nightmare. Karl would have something to say about this. He would whoosh in at lightning-speed to tell anyone who uses this line to put a sock in it and get back to work. Good things come to those who DO, not those who WAIT. If everyone waited for things to be done then life would move a lot more slowly - twiddling your thumbs achieves nothing more than giving you sore thumbs.
