Tuesday night in the Tyneside Bar Cafe is quiz night, with entry costing £5 per team. As youd expect there is the occasional film quiz, but it varies each week - upcoming quizzes include music, arts & culture, and a Wes Anderson special. Because a very particular type of film fan uses Tyneside Cinema, you can count on them being the most knowledgable in the region. So if you win, you're basically film king or queen of Newcastle... Its a very relaxed atmosphere and a great opportunity to enjoy some food or drinks while taking part, although be warned that the quizzes themselves can be fiendishly difficult. For other non-film related activity, each Friday and Saturday after 21:00 is Club Night, with free entry to all, while they recently celebrated World Scrabble Day (yes, its a thing) with a tournament.
