16. Queen Anne's Skin Rash Caused Her To Die While Resembling Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer (1714)
Queen Anne reigned between 1665 and 1714 - but was plagued by ill health throughout her life. After growing increasingly obese in her late-30s, she died without any surviving children - despite her husband, Prince George of Denmark, getting her pregnant on 17 separate occasions. Have suffered a stroke that rendered her mute on July 30, 1714, Anne died two days later as a result of the gout that had plagued her for years. She died as the last monarch of the British royal House of Stuart - and with a face and a nose which were crimson red due to the fact she had suffered from erysipelas, a violent skin irritation.
