Firstly, you've often wondered why Next sells cards at all. You know, like birthday and anniversary cards. Secondly, despite being what seems relatively cheap (usually about £1), the cards in Next aren't exactly special, and tend to be quite generic with prints and fonts and pictures. Thirdly, why the hell can't people put cards back in their specific card slots? It is not complicated to return a picture card to it's matching picture cards. You find baby boy cards hidden among the With Sympathy cards, and find yourself turning into the hulk with rage at these terrible card-moving monsters who come into the store to piss you off.
