Flights, gas, trains and sending parcels can be expensive. If you're in a LDR then you need to be completely committed, and that includes your bank balance. You'll end up skipping meals or nights out in order to save to see each other and even though some of your friends just don't get it, you know that your partner is worth every penny. You're in love and that makes you feel rich - you can always earn more money but you're not going to throw away the love of your life because you'd rather have a pair of shoes than a train ticket.
