This is probably the most exciting moment for a parent (especially your Mum) and it doesnt matter if youve just revealed a crush or introduced a new boyfriend or girlfriend, your folks will immediately hear wedding bells and make plans for day trips with the grandchildren. So while youre dealing with feelings you may not be entirely familiar with, or building up the courage to ask someone out, theyll be constantly badgering you and trying to get the latest gossip, letting you know that their own Dads name would be an excellent name for their impending Grandson. That day you make the very, very brave decision to bring your significant other home to meet the family, is not going to be the most relaxing of experiences. Your partner will no doubt get an absolute earful, theyll be grilled and tested by your parents to see if theyre an acceptable suitor for their precious baby and your Mum will no doubt have a stack of bath photos waiting. Or if youre a daughter, then your boyfriend will end up having a very calm conversation with your father... and his shotgun. At least its better than your Mum playing matchmaker.
