6. John Brunner (Nearly) Predicted Barack Obama's Rise To The Presidency (1968)
British author John Brunner's characters in his 1968 sci-fi novel Stand on Zanzibar were frighteningly accurate - he almost exactly predicted that Barack Obama would be President of the USA in 2010. In actual fact, the leader is named "President Obomi", but his family did originate from Africa - and Obama's father was born in Nyang'oma Kogelo, Kenya.
